The Pointe at Preston Ridge at 950 Executive Drive, Alpharetta, Georgia.

We lived here for about a year and experienced issues from the day we moved in. The door knobs on both bathrooms fell off about two days after moving in. The closet door in the second bedroom fell off about two days after that. Maintaince came to the apartment to fix a few things and I asked them to fix the door knobs. They said they needed a certain screw for them and he never came back. We had to move out two months before the end of our lease but still continued to pay rent. During these two months, we were charged $60 for an "electric disconnection fee" which no one made us aware of. When it came time to do a walk through of our apartment, the manager, Nicole, walked through with us. She didn't say much other than the fact that there would be a few charges. They charged us over $650 for total carpet replacement regardless of the fact that there was no damage beyond normal wear and tear and they charged us over $150 to replace counter tops regardless of the fact that the counter tops are so poorly made that I can scratch the surface with my fingernails. This left me with just over $200 in my security deposit return. I have tried contacting the property management and filed a complaint with the Better business bureau, both of which I have received no response from. I have exhausted my efforts in trying to contact someone of a higher level regarding these issues. I feel as though they are trying to funnel as much money as possible out of each of their residents.
